What can I expect during my first session?
Your first session typically involves discussing your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and your therapist’s approach. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable with your therapist.

How long does therapy last?
The duration of therapy varies depending on your needs and goals. Some people may benefit from short-term therapy (6-12 sessions), while others may find long-term therapy more helpful. Your therapist will work with you to develop a plan that fits your situation.

Is therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy sessions are confidential. However, there are some exceptions, such as when a client poses a risk to themselves or others, or if there is suspected abuse or neglect. Your therapist will discuss confidentiality and its limits with you during your first session.

What types of therapy do you offer?
I offer a range of therapeutic approaches, the treatments pages provide more details.

Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, I am licensed in Virginia and Maryland and provide both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to accommodate different preferences and needs.

How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by calling or emailing. See the contact page for more details.

Do you accept insurance?
I am out of network with insurance. I provide a superbill to submit to insurance for out of network benefits. I also accept Health Savings Accounts and credit cards.

How often should I attend therapy sessions?
The frequency of sessions depends on your needs and goals. Typically, clients attend weekly or bi-weekly sessions, but this can be adjusted based on progress and preferences. I also offer extended/intensive sessions.
